i have got admission in ECE department in University of Illinois. chicago. My college is going to start on august 27th. After reaching chicago I am trying for Graduate Assistantship in every department. I think they prefer only experienced students and not freshers. please guide us as to how freshers can attain graduate assistantship.I am really depressed as the tuition fees is very high.I have got GPA 9.0 could u kindly guide me as to whom i should approach?

Every college has a career consular, you can approach them and get their advice, the best way is to approach the professors in your department and ask for guidance. Please share with is forum about your experience on getting admission in US university, this can help other students.
